Language services

Translation, proofreading and interpretation

Mara Mara Taldea offers language services. Our work revolves around making communication easy. Our challenge is to overcome the existing obstacles (caused by language, situation, format, channel, etc.) in order to set up communication between two or more parties in contact with each other.

To make our clients' message reach its target, we offer a complete language service: translation and proofreading, interpreting, text creation and editing, transcription and adaptation, etc. And we transfer this information into one or several languages at the same time, with our full guarantee of a quality service.

Besides, we also consider ongoing adult education and training to be essential. Thus, we provide training courses to the members of our work team and people from outside the company. General and specialised translation and proofreading, orthotypography, translation of audiovisual material, correction and adaptation, translation memories, recordings, etc.

Quality

We have implemented the CAT (Computer Aided Translation). Thanks to programs such as Transit, Trados, LocStudio, SDLX, editors and other tools, we offer a quality service. We are in the process of obtaining the ISO certificate 9001:2008 (quality management) and EN 15038:2008 (translation companies).

Clients

Our clients are local and international public and private institutions. The commitment we make to our clients is to help them with communication. We translate texts into those languages required by our clients: Basque, Spanish, English, French, Catalan, Galician, German, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese, Portuguese and other less common language combinations.

Personnel

Our greatest asset is the people who form our team: maramara* taldea. The current company workforce is synonymous with quality and is the result of a strict selection process. We complement the studies and experience of our translators and professional proofreaders with ongoing education and training to guarantee excellence. We also strive to conciliate work and family life by adapting work hours to the needs of each employee.

The professionals working for us are translation and interpreting, philology and journalism graduates, with postgraduate studies in their respective fields. These specialists allow us to provide our clients with the necessary tools to communicate their activities: translation of websites into as many languages as needed, company manuals, records, certificates, reports, scripts, news, etc. In other words, all types of general and specialised texts.

Research

We are undertaking a series of studies on the topics we deal with on a daily basis; firstly, because we place great importance on ongoing education for our personnel; and secondly, because we mean to publish the results so that those people interested can have the necessary information in reach, either through courses or through the works we publish.

New technologies

We make use of new technologies in our language services as they are essential tools now and will be also essential in the future. Consequently, we have signed strategic agreements with several companies to offer our clients the advantages of the content management system, to share our knowledge of automatic translation settings (Spanish - Basque), to improve current translation memories and to introduce Basque into them...
